Diamond Lane – Terrorizer

En mi pasada reseña hablé de una banda que se formó en 2001, salida de Los Angeles California; y que nos presenta su nuevo material llamado “Terrorizer”, ellos son Diamond Lane. Su música es considerada como una nueva y singular versión del Heavy Metal y el Hard Rock, conocidos mundialmente por la relación que establece con el canal FOX en el 2013 con su disco “World Without Heroes”, que es utilizado para anuncios promocionales de la NBA, NFL y UFC; son premiados como artista del mes por parte de FOX SPORTS.

El año pasado la banda saca su nuevo material (mencionado anteriormente), el cual fue premiado con un Top Pick por parte de Classic Rock Maganize, este disco cuenta con nueve grandes y potentes canciones; cuenta con dos videoclips de sus sencillos: “The Enemy” y "Cheating Death”.

Sin más demora como punto de observación, si te gustan las cosas frescas, innovadoras y distintas, este disco es recomendable para ti. Y con este comentario, me voy a atrever a citar a un grande:

“Líricamente me gusta usar temas que hacen que el oyente use su imaginación, y para dar un poco de las lecciones que eh aprendido en mi propia vida”

Con este disco podrás gozar cada nota, cada coro, ¿y porque no? hasta cada solo; es una banda que promete grandes creaciones. Tienen todo para desarrollar y transformar este estilo en algo colosal que seguramente cambiara la forma en la que escuchamos el rock y el metal, este sonido particular está creciendo junto con las bandas que surgen no solo en la escena del Heavy Metal, si no del metal en general.

Su sintonía envolvente te hará brincar, cantar y azotar el cráneo al ritmo de cada riff’. Este disco agudizara tus sentidos, elevándote a otro nivel. Para que se den una idea les dejo la liga de YouTube de su vídeo “The Enemy” y la lista de canciones de este gran material:

No hay sospecha de que están decididos a dejar marca y esperamos con muchas ansias una presentación en México, no olviden checar los sitios oficiales para que estén informados de todas sus actualizaciones; en lo personal este disco me prendió en cada canción y me deja un gozo auditivo, me siento afortunada por tener la oportunidad de seguir descubriendo bandas que son talentosas y claro poder compartirlas. Diamond Lane – Terrorizer

In my last review I wrote about a band formed in 2001 in Los Angeles, California; the band presents us their new material called “Terrorizer”, and they are Diamond Lane. Their music is considered as a new and singular versión of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, known all arround the world for their work with FOX on 2013 with their album “World Without Heroes” used for commercials for the NBA, the NFL and the UFC. They are named artist of the month by FOX SPORTS.

Last year the band released a new album (as mentioned before), awarded with a Top Pick by Classic Rock Maganize; this album has nine great and powerful songs; the band has two videos of their singles: “The Enemy” and "Cheating Death”.

Besides, if you like fresh, innovative and different music you will like this album. With this comment, I would like to quote a metal legend:

“Lyrically I like to use themes that make the listener use his or her imagination, and to give a little of the lessons I've learned in my own life”.

With this album you can enjoy every note, every chorus and, why not? every guitar solo; it is a band that surely will create great songs. The band has everything to develop and transform this style in something huge that will change the way we listen to rock and metal music; this sound is particularly growing along the bands appearing not only for Heavy Metal but in metal music in general.

There is no doubt that they are decided to make history and we wait impatiently for the band to give a show in Mexico. Do not forget to visit their official sites so you can be updated with the band’s news; personally, this album surprised me with every song, I feel lucky for having the chance to keep knowing talented bands and be able to share them. Congratulations to Diamond Lane; we hope they will keep growing and they will keep delighting and surprising us with their music.

REVISTA SLIDERS RESEÑA EL DISCO DE LORDS OF THE TRIDENT: PLAN OF ATTACK

Hoy es miércoles de reseña y hoy me toca estar con ustedes para presentarles la reseña de un disco lleno de poder, lleno de velocidad, de sonidos vibrantes que los abrazarán desde la primer nota; vamos a platicar del EP “más metalero” (como lo describen ellos) de la banda Lords of the Trident: “Plan of Attack”.

Con un Heavy metal poderoso presente en cada una de las canciones, puedo asegurarles que disfrutarán el EP de principio a fin. Debido a que es un EP sólo incluye 4 canciones pero es suficiente material para que  te destruyas el cuello al ritmo de las canciones.

Las canciones son:

1- Complete control

2- Plan of attack

3- Song of the wind and sea

4- The joust

El disco abre con la que creo que es la canción más poderosa del disco, Complete control, que desde que empieza sientes la fuerza con un riff rápido y un grito agudo de Fang VonWrathenstein (vocalista) que eriza la piel y que mantiene el ritmo hasta el coro en donde la voz deja de ser aguda pero que mantiene la fuerza y complementa a la perfección los versos y, además, incluye un solo de guitarra de primer nivel con riffs rápidos y una melodía hipnotizante.

El disco continúa con la canción que le da nombre al EP y comienza con una combinación de guitarras que atrapan al instante y en la que Fang no utiliza su voz aguda pero mantiene ese sonido rápido que, más adelante, nos deleita con un nuevo solo, más melódico pero igual de impresionante.

Sigue Song of the Wind and Sun, canción un poco más tranquila pero que nos sigue mostrando el talento de sus integrantes.

El disco cierra con The joust, la canción más larga del EP (7:02 minutos) que combina sonidos tranquilos que nos dejan descansar el cuello en los versos hasta que la banda retoma la velocidad en los coros y el solo de guitarra no se queda atrás, mantiene la misma línea que comienza con sonidos de guitarra tranquilos y poco a poco toman más velocidad y fuerza.

Sin duda es un EP que no debes dejar pasar, es Heavy metal en toda la extensión de la palabra. Escúchalo y disfrútalo porque el metal no sólo de escucha, también se siente.

REVISTA SLIDERS REVIEW LORDS OF THE TRIDENT-PLAN OF ATTACK

Today is wednesday and I will present to you a review of an album full of power, speed and vibrant sounds that will embrace you from the beginning of the songs. I’m going to review the “most metal” EP (as the band knows it) from Lords of the Trident: Plan of attack.

With a powerful Heavy metal on every song, I can assure you will completely enjoy the EP. Since it is an EP, the album has only 4 songs but it is enough material to make you headbang until you break your neck. 

The songs included are:

1- Complete control

2- Plan of attack

3- Song of the wind and sea

4- The joust

The album starts with the song that I think is the most powerful of the EP: Complete control. From the beginning of the song you feel the power of a fast riff and a high-pitched scream from Fang VonWrathenstein (Singer). The scream gives you goose pimples and keeps the rhythm until the chorus starts, in which Fang stops using his high-pitched voice; instead, he uses a voice that keeps the song powerful and that perfectly completes the verses. The song also includes a first level guitar solo with fast riffs and a hypnotizing melody.

The album continues with the song that names the EP. It starts with a combination of guitar riffs that gets you instantly. It is a song in which Fang doesn’t use his high-pitched voice but keeps that fast sound that delights us with a new guitar solo, more melodic but equally impressive.

The next song is Song of the wind and sea, a slower one still showing us that the members of the band have an incredible talent.

The EP finishes with the song The joust, the longest on the album (7:02 minutes) and one that combines slow riffs that lets us rest our neck from all the headbanging until the band accelerates again on the chorus. The guitar solo keeps the same line that starts with slow riffs and slowly gets fast and powerful.

There is no doubt that the EP is an album that you should check, is pure Heavy metal. Listen to it and enjoy it because metal is not only to listen, but to feel it.
