ANGELS IN CHEMISTRY - Freakhouse

ü  Tokyo After Midnight
ü  Beyond the Sin
ü  Fighting forma tour ligero
ü  Lastima Day
ü  Down the Devil's Road
ü  Outlast, Outcast and Thieves
ü  Forget
ü  This is a War
ü  Headed for Disaster
ü  The Darkest Data

Hello Sliders Soldiers that read our reviews, today i have a very interesting one about the band Freakhouse, from Los Angeles, California, its a very defined project sith great integration, they called themselves a rock band.

Until certain point this álbum can be considered “mainstream, contagious and very accesible-digestible wiith a clear style, the songs are a very energetic mix of music to enjoy en every time of the day like when you work out, take a shower or you are sharing with Friends, its a nice company.

Every member reflects a Young and free spirit and the experience of play different instuments, in fact they say that you love them or you hate them, there´s not a midpoint, i just believe that if you like the most “heavier” stuff maybe you will be less hooked but its a matter of musical taste, the voice its very interpretive with low effect, the instruments have that progressions that make you move your feet and your head with the rhythm inmediatly.

You will love this experience if you like some rock/metal occasionally.

In the cover you can find a angels sculpture very interested in create a chemistry just like the title says, this is the playlits:

ü  Tokyo After Midnight
ü  Beyond the Sin
ü  Fighting forma tour ligero
ü  Lastima Day
ü  Down the Devil's Road
ü  Outlast, Outcast and Thieves
ü  Forget
ü  This is a War
ü  Headed for Disaster
ü  The Darkest Data

One big pro of the band its the big quality in their videos, available on Youtube, showing their passion to make what they love it reflects in the band success.

I close this review with our necessary invitation to slide your mind, to hear the complete álbum of Freakhouse “Angels in Chemistry” maybe with an energy drink ¿why not? It can be a good combo.

I WORSHIP CHAOS - Children of Bodom

1. I Hurt
Bonus tracks
11. Mistress of Taboo (Plasmatics cover)
12. Danger Zone (Kenny Loggins cover)
13. Black Winter Day (Amorphis cover)

Comienza “I hurt”… ¡Bum!

¡Saludos!

ENGLISH:

Children of Bodom the melodic metal finnish band, have pleased us with his 9th and more recent album “I Worship Chaos” released in 2015 by Nuclear Blast Records. This album was produced by Peter Tägtgren (Hipocrisy) and Mikko Karmila in Helsinki, Finland; it’s the first album with four members since the guitarist Roope Latvalen leaves.

The art in the cover reminds us “Halo of Blood” with a faceless figurerounded by an atmospheric loneliness, trees in a dark place but now with a light color, in this case yellow. I consider “Halo of Blood” a significant work of the band, they recover and extract very usefull ideas that support the essence of Children of Bodom.

Playlist:

1. I Hurt
Bonus tracks
11. Mistress of Taboo (Plasmatics cover)
12. Danger Zone (Kenny Loggins cover)
13. Black Winter Day (Amorphis cover)

“I Hurt” starts and ¡Bum! this is Children, Alexi Laiho will not dissapoint us. From the first song we are noticed of the glowing presence of the melody joined with the gutural voice sometimes almost clean in a stand out way. Step by step the riffs are introduced that denote a energetic and live enviroment.

“My Bodom (I Am the Only One)” its a raw and brief song related to the thraser base that we love. The melody stand out in the keyboard; its a more basic song in therms of the structure, lyric and even speed.

The we hace a good contrast at the biggining of “Morrigan”, with a more calmed rhythm and a lot of melody in voice and instrumentation.

Children permeate us again with their style in “Horns”. We can note a blacker influence where the voice, riffs, melody and blast beat fits perfectly.

In “Praye for the Affected” the melodic assemble shines with chordal intentions that decorate efficiently and bautifully the song from the start to the end.

“I Worship Chaos” the song that gaves title to the album, show us technique, developement, speed and keyboard solos. Thay have an specific texture that take us to Death Metal.

It worth to mention in “Hold Your Tongue” that the band returns to Drop C# tuning in guitar thay did not use it since “Something Wild”. Because of that we can find dark, versatile and pleasant guitar solos in this two songs.

“All for Nothing” have a melancholic, strong, emotive and visceral feeling, a theme with great location in the álbum.
They close strongly with”Widdershins” it’s a song when the members feel like home, the remind us previous jobs with a strong and slightly different sound.

Bonus tracks are cover from Plasmatics, Kenny Loggins and Amorphis.

I recommend this album a lot, sometimes its hard to conceive some innovative ideas been a true fan, but we need to have a open mind to the change, to the evolution and adaptation but not conformed with what our great bands offer to us.

I will aprecciate your opinion, comment or suggestion !Greetings!

1. La fuente
2. Montaña sagrada
3. La casa de nadie
4. Caballo de Atila
5. A cuchillo
6. Heridas de guerra ptI
7. Bautismo de fuego

GLORIFICATION OF A MYTH - OUROBOROS

1. Black Hole Generator
2. Lashing of the Flames
3. Animal, Man... Machine
4. Sanctuary
5. Sea to Summit
6. Disembodied Mind
7. Dissolve
8. Panacea
9. Edifice of Tyranny
10. Absent from Entity

ENGLISH:

!Hello Sliders Soldiers and metal fans! It’s time to enjoy one album full of life by the Australian band “Ouroboros”, Technical Death Metal with Trash Metal touches. In this occasion i will comment “Glorification of a Myth” from 2011, There´s a lot to know from the genre lovers even if it’s not recent.

Watching at the album cover we can note the direct relationship with the meaning of the name of the band, it refers the symbol of a snake eating its own tail, representing the cycles of life through from his circular shape. In this case, we see a men being a victim of the snake invading his mouth through different parts of the body (shoulders and thorax)

Also the idea of the white eyes like a possession symbol. I share with you the playlist:

1. Black Hole Generator
2. Lashing of the Flames
3. Animal, Man... Machine
4. Sanctuary
5. Sea to Summit
6. Disembodied Mind
7. Dissolve
8. Panacea
9. Edifice of Tyranny
10. Absent from Entity

From the first song you feel the energy that detonates your desire of keep listening. As they advance, it´s possible to note that this music its very digestible, however, it´s brutal too regarding to power, riffs, “headbanging” rhythms and deep voices related to the guttural.

For example in “Animal, Man... Machine” we can recognize the Trash influence combined with the magical spectrum of Death supported by the heavy voice that makes you feel simply satisfied.

The technique of the musicians it’s indisputable, they manage the corresponding precision expected of the genre and don´t bomb in every moment wich allows the development of the album.

Effectively I think this is they´re best job and the sound they achieved in this album it´s unique and very clear to the listener. I will appreciate your comments and don’t forget to slide your mind !Hug!
